CP Engineering, Inc. is a Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, for-profit, small business (Incorporated January 24, 2000) with a registered office located within South Buffalo Township, Armstrong County, Pennsylvania and operations located within the University of Pittsburgh Applied Research Center (U-PARC) in Harmar Township, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania.

CP Engineering, Inc. was founded on the basis of providing "best value" 'smart' systems engineering services, including applicable research, development, prototyping, and, as appropriate, manufacturing with repect to automation, data acquisition, electro-optics (including imaging and non-imaging applications), motion control, and power systems for aerospace, defense, material processing, and robotics market segments.  In addition, CP Engineering, Inc. manufactures and markets a family of 'smart' materials (i.e., magneto-rheological (MR) fluids (U.S. Patent # 5,985,168)), devices and systems under the MagnaLogic(TM) trade name.
